We manage to keep costs low by remaining volunteer based and by partnering and receiving most of our talent, food, services, and locations donated at no cost. However not all aspect of every event can be covered and costs of needed supplies are quite high with inflation and post pandemic prices. For instance, even with our "discounted" prices from distributors, to feed a group of 100 patrons of our community, with table clothes, plates, cups, utensils, to-go containers, beverages, food and dessert, we estimate costs at about $1000. WE NEED YOU to help fill in the gaps where the food & supply donations run short. All donations are 501c3 Tax Deductible.  Thank you for all you can give as every bit matters!

Arguably, one of the biggest issues individuals and families face, as a result of living in the South Suburbs, is lack of transportation options. In Urban areas there tend to be plenty of affordable public transit options and high density of jobs, where as in the suburbs, individuals may travel long distances to work and reliable transportation is a critical lifeline. Many families in the southside own one vehicle, therefore any type of car troubles can lead to joblessness and homelessness in the blink of an eye. We are creating a separate outreach fund for assisting families with transportation costs including, car repairs, insurance costs and help with the purchase of a vehicle through one of our partners. By donating to our Arts & Entertainment fund we can ensure FREE monthly programs for our community, from an interactive art wall, to craft nights to comedy shows and more!  If you would like to join our growing South Suburban Arts Council please email us at ssjeinfo@gmail.com.
