This year we are raising $30,000 at the Art After Dark - 4th Annual Joy Gala! The Theme is 'Art is Transformational' ~ And art is everywhere! Enjoy a festival for the senses as we raise proceeds for the SSJE Annual homeless prevention fund. In the past a mere budget of $20,000 was able to prevent around 300 families from becoming homeless and provided a path from hardly surviving to truly thriving. As the economic downturn and benefits to seniors and our disabled communities have been defunded, we are seeing an increase in the number of families and individuals that are one paycheck away from homelessness. As volunteers with lived experience, we provided empathy and solutions tailored to supporting each case that comes to us. We couldn't do any of this work without the compassion and support of our donors and sponsors.
